Instead of a Matrix Re-loaded post, I'm going to read blogs

See, I woke up with a headache and cold, so I didn't go to see Matrix Re-loaded. I'm avoiding spoilers so don't tell me.

Somehow, I decided to read some of my favorite blogs and bring some of the goodies to you.


Jeanne d'Arc on actually supporting the troops by not cutting the VA "Just a reminder: On Thursday, May 22, a lot of people will be calling, writing, and e-mailing their representatives to support American troops by insisting that full funding for the VA be a top legislative priority." She also has two posts on Iraq and Afghanistan, along with a longer post on how different groups use human rights records.

Some guy on the radio decides to pick on autistic people (and speaking of someone diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome, I guess I'm a little pissed about it). Dwight Meredith, who has a son with autism, isn't happy either.

Via Atrios, Senate Republicans actually raised some taxes.

Dan Savage wants to name a sex act after Rick Santorum (any sex act, since Santorum doesn't seem to think anyone should have consentual non-reproductive sex outside of marriage). I propose using it as a term for sex with politicans. I'll use it in a sentence. "Yeah, somehow it doesn't make news when there are rumors of George W doing a Rick Santorum with a teenager, but everyone jumps on Clinton doing one with a prostitute."
