icdedpeople, meet jmhm. I think she has some stuff to say about The Passion. I got one to say. The brutality of the crucifixation was well known (ever seen the Stations of the Cross?). Somehow, even the Protestants did not lay hatred upon the Romans. One group got it, and playing devil's advocate about hatred is inaccurate in this case. For one thing, the theologians and ADL want a warning, not necessarily cut scenes (and I wish I could find the link). One of the lines was cut because of focus groups, not censors.
Dammit, I wish I could have the posts about The Passion in one place, or "Why Mel needs to get off the cross."
