Mainly, deleting spam makes me too tired to do those all important 'banning gay marriage is STOOPID' calls. Plus, I check mail late (since somehow mail.com is timing out when I use the home network--again).
However, I have done more thinking on an essay. It was triggered by some links I found when type in 'Hollywood' and 'polyamory' (I was looking for tales of polyamorous relationships in RL, but I also got social conservative blogs that grouped them in a list of 'really bad things'). Plus, I think of the woman arrested for refusing a C-section and giving birth to a stillborn twin (It has happened in my family, I just cannot see how a stillborn could be considered 'a murder.' A death, painful, definitely, but murder?), reaction to reading First Born, some statements against abortion made by Susan B Anthony and her opposition against banning it (and how short most of the anti-abortion movement falls when it comes to revising the double standard she was against) and what I did with the realization that even if I wasn't having sex as a teenager (but really thinking alot about it), others were, and telling them not to was not going to stop them from getting pregnant or diseased (it is only one step of keeping them from getting pregnant, etc); that I actually was glad that my mom divorced my alcoholic dad and not going to chide her for 'desecrating a sacrament'; and there wasn't much done for the disabled, the female and poor by most pro-lifers. Don't get me started on the Unborn Victims of Violence Act (and they won't pass hate-crime legislation? Are the abstract 'souls' of the embryos more important than the lives of people already on this planet?)
I need to call my youngest sister and tell her that I won't be able to go get her books for her. Writer's group. *sigh*
