taratemima"Act like a dumbass and they'll treat you like an equal." I think of these wise words as I read the tepid-to-fawning press coverage of Appointed President Bush. I guess as much I think some of Clinton's policies were stupid, I suddenly getting fucking nostalgic. Sure, he answered questions about boxers and signed the Telecommunications Decency Act and the Defense of Marriage Act, but he could talk in complete sentences (considering the GW probably got the education in the Queen's English most Mission Hill kids only dream of, what is his excuse for his verbal fobilities? Is there some sort of speech impediment I have yet to know of? Not even talking about the Texas inflection--his wife and father are much more coherant than he is) and got passing scores in the LSATs.
Now, I hear the latest--he has cut funding for programs for abused children by 20%. Whose going to pick up the slack, "beat the devil out of your child" fundamentalists?
