Oct. 5th, 2005 09:20 pmI hated the morning. I grumped about missing the bus and spending money I shouldn't on breakfast and lunch. I saw a catalog and thought "Gee, I wish I had money to drop on anti-aging cream and Masai-inspired sneakers, but I need it for stuff like rent."
Then I estimated how long it took me to do stuff in the morning like get dressed, eat breakfast, get to the bus on time, check mail. I then estimated how long it would take me to make and eat dinner, take a shower, take on-line classes and write. Morning routine would take me 2 hours; evening routine would take me 5 1/2 hours. I also have to include work time and commute. So, that would mean that I would get up at 4:22 am and go to bed at 1 am. Naturally, it's making me think of streamlining my routines (ie get myself moving in the morning) and what I can realistically expect of myself in the evenings.
I also either need a job closer to the apartment or a laptop. Or a job with a shorter commute where I can afford to save for a laptop. That would be cool.
Help screens at my work are poorly written and make me antsy. I want to re-write the things, but all I can do is have lively discussions with my trainer over what they are trying to say. At least she is talking to the help screen writers to find out what they are trying to say.
I did manage to clear most of the storage boxes out of my room. I am also actively working on the comic book script. I do need to catch up on A+ certification classes.
