Dec. 18th, 2000 10:49 pmWent through a weeping fit. I couldn't get into the direct study I wanted, and had not heard back from the scholarship or loan folks.
First thought: "Oh god, I am not going be able to take classes, I won't be able to get a good job to afford tutition, I'll have to work this crap-ass part-time job, and I'll be stuck doing this, until I die."
I had to snap out of it: "It won't be so bad, I may have the block cleared thanks to the new loan, I just need to concentrate on books, and if that happens, there may be some jobs that are willing to do flex time and get experience in linguistics/computer science work."
Too hopeful?
I don't know, but I need ideas.
