Big spanging, begging cheese
Mar. 29th, 2001 11:54 amWelp, it's waiting time. Wait for loan application, for credit card, for interviews, for classes. Planning to answer questions for tech support at MIT, planning to write cover letters, planning to search for jobs at possible consulting firms and universities, finding out which books are on reserve. Submitted a resume to jobgoth, will need to write history.
And I must read papers for Psychology of Reading seminar. I have two ideas for the final paper: summary of research for adult ESL learners and reading issues, and issues in machine reaching and character recognition. Sound intelligent and stuff next time I go to class.
I wish I had some weird little idea to give or a journal joke (thanks, Mike Cassara), but no clue.
Finally told Moshuko about Arik. A weird thing because Moshuko is friends with Arik, and thus, Arik was really hestiant about telling Moshuko about what went on. "He'll blab it to everyone and joke about dating Theresa now." What Moshuko actually said: "At least you had something going on. I haven't had a date in years." We spent last night overanalyzing Arik, his need to do a million things in the studio, his overplanning of his big solo project. I myself want to hear him sing, play piano and drums, do stuff imperfectly. He is really fanatic about doing takes, about overdubbing, about doing little tricks (he went into this long rant about different studio methods different famous producers use). I just wonder if he can risk looking foolish to make something interesting, and not just be a hired gun, like Moshuko talks about.
I want to hear what Arik tells me he hears when he is around me.
