(no subject)

Damn. Some post in a journal I cannot remember made me think about the difference between screaming for reforms in Islam (and really, a good deal of religions, but the fever for a war against modernity seems strongest there) and attacking everything about Islam. I couldn't articulate any better than this letter writer to Body and Soul did. Go.

I survived relatives, but one of them made a snarky remark about my fiction writing. I'll cope. I just need to think of what to get people for the holidays.

heron61 posted about alchemy and combining a strong foundation in empirical thought with religious belief. Funny, I'm trying to bring that combinition in an amateur astronomer/rabbi character I am writing. I need work in that.
