Apr. 10th, 2004 12:04 pmSo, I made a last minute plan with
bikergeek to have dinner and a movie. Dinner was good, conversation was good. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind was not exactly what I expected. I was glad of that. Jim Carrey was restrained (I prefer him when he is restrained, though oddly enough, I liked his more out there characters in In Living Color than 'the standard stereotypical white guy' he also played in that show), the use of present to past to present again flowed well, there was some emotionally affecting moments, and Joel and Clementine, the couple who fell out and forgot (I ought not to give too many spoilers) reminded me of myself at various points.
From a conversation last night:
bikergeek: Some people on a mailing list was debating whether Penn and Teller or the guys from Mythbusters would make the best geek sandwich.
me: I'd have to test-drive them both before I decide.
bikergeek: You would.
Today? Pool with my younger sister and brother. Maybe work more on novel.
