In a stunning example of technology making things harder than they are, I cannot print the ready-to-print inquiry letters to fiction magazines, because my disk does not have the right drivers (or seriously needs a defragging). I can't print them at home, so I will . . .hand-write them. Yay!

I also had a hard time figuring out how much snow will melt by spring equinox. Here is part of the attempted formula:

Currently, in Milton, we are at 28 inches. It assumes that on days with 30F tempertures, an inch is melted off. Optimistic, yeah, but I told you it was an attempt. Assume that for every 10 degrees above 30, an inch melts.

d = 30F days
f = days below 30F
t = temperature above 30
e = days until spring equinox, which is currently 55, and is decremented by one each day
n = inches

28/(((e-f)+((t-30)/10)))*n)

Feel free to correct any assumptions, because I really want to know when all the fucking snow will go away.
