Folks,

Those poor folks killed in Jerusalem weren't killed by the "peace process." They were killed by Hamas. They tend to do that every time there is some attempt to end this shit. It's win-win for them, really.

I suspect they can be only contained, arrested, not entirely stopped. The trick is to siphon any major support from them. Maybe a good question to ask is "If different terrorist groups want to destroy Israel so much, what do they want in its place? Would most Palestinians or Westerners want it?"

Hint: all or nothing statements tend to help the people you hate, not hurt them.

Some guy said something to the effect of "It is, IMHO, a deeply rooted fallacy of Western Culture that every "problem" has a solution." I don't think there are easy solutions, but I think the search is important. If you just throw your hands up because it just seems like every solution brings on more problems, then what else is there? I think working for peace, justice and truth is important. I wish I did it more.

Sorry, today's TorahFax seemed less about the world being built on peace, justice and truth than it was about ranting about the flawed peace process. It kinda pushed me to the edge of screaming. Then there was this thread. "Judaism has never been about equality, egalitarianism, and fixing the world. It _has_ been about separatism, strict obedience, and the right of the Jewish people to the land God promised them." Honey, it's about BOTH. Gah. What about the Civil Rights movement? Immigrant rights activism?

Maybe I'll go for a religion that raises my blood pressure less. Why do I come back to this?

So, whose up for that cloning major religious figures and having them fight on TV thing?
