Someone's nicely done rebuttal to Horowitz's points.
The message board for The Debts website is rife with bitter white guys whining about the thieving, lazy blacks looking for a handout, ignoring say, white folks cheating on their taxes, corporate welfare, white folks on AFDC (me mama, once upon a time) and people who are posting to freerepublic.com when they should be working. Yeah, you'd have that mansion on the hill and that CEO position if it weren't for the dark folks. Can we say 'class,' children?
I really have one objection to reparations, being a bed-wetting leftie out to kill whitey (really, Horowitz says so), ensalve all the men and the nations besides, abolish property, and turn all the children queer. Pardon more cynicism, all the money in the USA is not going to pay off for all the people the folks in power screwed over--blacks, women, immigrants, people fleeing Nazi Germany who couldn't get in, Japanese-Americans, gays. Geez, don't them black folks realize that if one group asks for justice, EVERYONE is going to want some.
