So, I've got some serious revisions to do on part 5 of Legacies, mainly the disposition scene. My legal advisor told me that I was actually writing a mix of disposition, an interrogation and a consulting with client, and often these types of conversations have different goals. Plus, Amesbury,
the LAPD detective, Miriam and her clients would be working at cross-purposes. Especially Amesbury, but that will come out later. He let me borrow an outline on dispositions and I will decide which one it is and rewrite accordingly.

However, I am raring to go on part 6. How to get the various
antagonists entangled, well, that's the next project. Meanwhile, I am feeling the benefits of going straight to bed after I get home. Yes, I am still often tired, but not as badly as before.

I ended up working six and a half hours, plus two hours last Saturday. I think I will work eleven hours overtime next week.

Some stuff on the Vatican vis a vis lying about condoms

1) They are admitting defeat on linking sex with reproduction by resorting to scare tactics rather than reason. Even Catholics who agree with their stance ought not to let them get away with this. It hurts the idea that faith can be reconciled with reason, plus it suggests no one can act
responsible about sexuality.

2) There is a difference between seeing celibacy as one of the many sexual behaviours one can choose and trying to say it is the only way. At some point in their lives, people will choose it, maybe permanently, maybe for a while. However, people seem to mix celibacy with fear of own sexual feelings and fear of other people's desires (misogyny is not to be dismissed as a
motive, either).

3) It also ignores some other problems in Africa--poor health care and endangerment of women and girls, for two. This conflicts with the idea of social justice.
