Apr. 9th, 2001 06:57 pmHitchens was on IM, and left just as suddenly. Damn! Damn! I did manage to recover my splufy new addition to my novel from a corrupted disk. It is printed out and ready to go. Over all, I have just about finished things, it's been quiet. Wait for tutor sessions, wait for Hoffman check, plot and plan to pay off bills.
April 20-21 I had plans for a virtual musical gorging. I went to the WAAF website for the line-ups for NEMO, and none of the bands interest me, aside from Count Zero, Countess, and Volition. Maybe Seventeen, and maybe Rocketscience. None of these bands are recognizable, and the ones I do recognize I run far from (Gamelan Productions? But I hate stale pachouli, man!). I forgot the URL for New England Folk Festival's site, where I can dance English country dance badly in Natick. Then I typed NEFFA in the address bar, and got there. Schedule is printed out. I wished I could talk to someone about what bands to see and avoid at NEMO. It is looking like my weekend of musical debauchery is shaping up slowly.
And Rupert Murdoch supports the crack down on Falun Gong folks. I guess it's professional courtesy on his part.
