1) Looking back, did you write more fic than you thought you would?
I thought I would write more of the novel, but I did end writing more fanfic and a little more non-genre fiction too.

2) What pairing/genre/fandoms did you write that you would never have predicted in January 2003?
I actually wrote a non-explictly AU RP fic, as well as writing in someone else's fictional universe (It's Anita Blake! It's RPF! It's Anita Blake and RPF, with an OFC I try not to make into a raging Sue. Two kinds of evil).

3) What's your favorite story of the year? Not the most popular, but the one that makes you happiest.
I am prouder than I expected of Legacies, since she was not only a different voice, but I manage to keep the canon characters in character. I am also proud of This Is Not a Funeral March, because it was a balancing act.

4) Did you take any writing risks this year? What did you learn from them?
I wrote about profession I knew very little about (probate law), made mistakes but got it okay. I will be GMing my own Unknown Armies game and had to strike a balance between improvisation on the players' part and my own imagination. I somehow managed to mention World War II and the Holocaust without making me on par with the Anne Frank/Dragonball Z fic.

5) Do you have any fanfic or profic goals for the new year?
First, finish novel by 28th birthday. Write two short stories and two poems for submission to profic markets. Continue in the Ragnarok universe with a sequel concentrating on one couple. Consider the other RP pairings. Re-write comic book script for a battle between humans and fae in a Boston suburb in 1982. Write the remaining three stories for Les Clowns de la Mort.
