What I did on my day off
Feb. 23rd, 2004 04:14 pmI didn't originally plan on a day off, just go to the nutritionist then work late. However, I realized that 1) I would need to work very, very late, and 2) I got stuff to do, I decided to use my paid time off.
I talk to her about changing some habits of mine permanently: not eating enough fruits and vegetables, not exercising enough, not getting enough calcium and eating too much sugar. We set up some goals: walk 10-15 mins on weekdays and 30 mins on weekends; substitute actual fruit for the sugary stuff; and drink low-fat milk and eat broccoli for calcium. It is related to the sleep cycle (if I don't get enough sleep, then I don't eat breakfast and pack a decent lunch, which helps me get enough sleep).
After, I deposit money for my sister, pay off my dental bill, pay off medical bill and then go to the mall to hunt for a button for my spring coat. I end getting other stuff except for a button. Even department stores do not sell sewing buttons, I would have to go to a fabric store. I decided to get some clip-on earrings for the weird idea of using as a shiny button substitute (if that doesn't work, I'll get buttons), two cheap cds, lunch and misc. I did eat a sugary snack as well as dessert, but they both have fruit. I can do better next time.
I didn't get writing done, but I did do lots of thinking about tasks. I may schedule some time after work to finish certain bits of the novel and start the next few short stories.
