Jun. 6th, 2004 12:58 amThe one thing I will always remember Ronald Reagan for is that he talked about 'welfare queens' using the money for Cadillacs. As a little child on welfare with a mother who escaped an alcoholic and abusive husband and didn't even own a car, I thought 'he's a liar.' That was the moment my personal politics took shape.
There. That's my post on him. 'At least he is not suffering anymore' is the nicest thing I can think to say about him. Oh, and 'maybe this will boost support for stem cell research.'
On another note, I went out for a party, then realized that it was over by the time I left. The other party, well, it was too late to ask for a ride, I thought. So, I went out for record browsing and supper. Dumb idea. The place I go to was crowded with people unaware that I am trying to get through. By the time I finished, I realized I could have called someone local for a ride. Dammit.
