I finally got out, and went to Newbury St. I had this craving for a brownie ala mode with Kahlua ice cream. On an impulse, I put on hot fudge. It was good, but maybe the hot fudge was overkill. I saw fireworks on the Boston side of the Charles near the Longfellow Bridge. A virtual microsm of humanity there. Just about every ethnic group on that bridge, on the Esplanade and spilling onto the park. If it weren't for the claustrophobia, I'd sing patriotic hymns. Oh and lots of snack food and cell phones. Then, feeling crowded in, I went up on the Longfellow Bridge and stood in the middle. Pretty fireworks. My favorite was gold cascades that looked like the back of someone's blonde hair as it falls down.

Then I walked to Central Square, zig-zagging through any open space. Got home in one piece. Going to see movies tomorrow.
