"And just when I think
That things are in their place,
The heavens are secure,
but whole thing explodes in my face."
As disappointing as parts of my day was, it's nothing compared to what other people are going through. Hobbies being found out, parents with little chance to live, roommate problems. If no one is facing an earthquake or a suicide bombing, that is only because I haven't read your post yet. Oh, wait, "Last week the rabbi of Jerusalem's old city, Avigdor Neventzal, told colleagues from the settlements that anyone who gave up part of Israel to non-Jews was open to a din rodef -- religious licence for a Jew to kill a Jew. . Not sure of the source (via South African Mail and Guardian), but fuck. I know that there seems to be a give a little, take thing going here. However, I feel embarrassed, never mind I am not officially part of that religion. I hoped some religion was free of that urge to use death to advance 'the cause.' Oh but it wasn't possible to put that into practice in modern times. OK.
But all that consumes my attention is a dull headache. I am really, really shallow. I am cheered by the idea that tomorrow, I can have bananas foster ice cream and Diet Dr Pepper as an after lunch delicacy. Never mind I just found out that I took out more money than I thought. About the little I've saved, actually. So, I will deposit that so I will not get punished by the Banking God Mammon. Wow, I am an idolator when I do not mean to be.
