Took antidepressants.

2. Did you keep your new year's resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I don't make New Years' resolutions.

Not yet.

Not yet.

5. What countries did you visit?
None

6. What would you like to have in 2005 that you lacked in 2004?
Something published, a better job, and a more active social life.

7. What dates from 2004 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
May 27, when I went to New York to see Forbidden Zone; August 1, when [livejournal.com profile] septembervirgin visited; November 3, for the obvious reasons.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
I got more active in politics; I finished writing several stories.

9. What was your biggest failure?
Still spending too much money and not getting enough sleep.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
I got some colds a couple of times.

11. What was the best thing you bought?
Boingo Alive CD set

12. Whose behaviour merited celebration?
Anyone who wished me well and listened to me bitch.

13. Whose behaviour made you appalled and depressed?
51% of the country.

14. Where did most of your money go?
Rent, credit cards, student loans, groceries, food out, cabs, books and CDs.

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Going to New York.

16. What song will always remind you of 2004?
I can't think of any.

Happier

About the same.

Two steps forward, one step back.

18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Going out; reading.

Staying on the computer.

At my aunt's house.

21. Who did you spend the most time on the phone with?
Bill companies.

22. Did you fall in love in 2004?
Only with concepts and celebrities.

Zero.

24. What was your favourite TV program?
I don't have any one show.

25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
I have small annoyances with fannish folk, but that is more reason for writing snarky fic and not grinding my teeth over it.

26. What was the best book you read?
Not sure.

27. What was your greatest musical discovery?
I spent more time rediscovering old favorites.

28. What did you want and get?
A raise.

29. What did you want and not get?
Cash for first and last month's rent. Cards paid off.

30. What was your favourite film of this year?
Return of the King.

31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
I stay around the house and ate chocolate cake. My sister then took me out for drinks and commentary. I turned 28.

32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
A trip to another country. More immersion in religion.

33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2004?
Recycling.

34. What kept you sane?
Sarcasm, and oddly, and belief that sooner or later, people will do the right thing when they exhaust all other ideas.

35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
I am actually too shy to say, despite the fannish squeeing and the fic writing. Mainly because I really don't think they'd for me.

36. What political issue stirred you the most?
To repeat what [livejournal.com profile] bikergeek said: "The 2004 Presidential election in general: gay marriage, the war in Iraq...our President seemed to be on the "wrong" side of darn near every issue I had any kind of feelings on."

37. Who did you miss?
Angus and Jolene, two of my exes. I've been listening to Shriekback and the The again and wonder what exactly their address is again.

38. Who was the best new person you met?
[livejournal.com profile] watercolorblue. [livejournal.com profile] bethr looks hopeful too, but it is still too early to tell.

39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2004:
You can have really good ideas, but you have to convince people you believe in the power of your ideas.

Oh and today? Had Indian with [livejournal.com profile] watercolorblue. Watched Notorious C.H.O. "Who's your daddy?" "Eileen?" "That's right, bitch." Napped. Went to tree trimming thing. Vegged in hot tub. Had someone drive me home. Watched him endure bizarre traffic and wonder if walking home would be best for all. My sister woke up my mom to make grilled cheese for her and will not shut up.
