taratemimaI had some nice snacks and conversation at a local friend's house, a good meal, and saw House of Flying Daggers. Yeah, I got presents, but it was mostly clothing, a mug with notes and a pen, a Rocky Horror DVD, and a CD carrier case. Oh, and gift certificates and cash.
I can say it was a good day, even if I got a blinding headache in the middle of dinner. It was especially good when my hosts gave me headache medicine and a place to lie down.
So, Merry Christmas/Chinese Restaurant Appreciation Day. If you can have fun despite the expectations to have the best time ever today, then you've done well indeed.
