Dec. 28th, 2004 08:48 pmThere are tsunamis on the coastal lines of Asia, Darfur and Iraq are still burning . . .
And I spent an hour and a half searching for boots. See, I had boots, but their heels are wearing down. Plus, they were starting to smell. When you can smell cloying rose, you know others smell it too.
However, the women's boots had too tiny heels that gave me agrophobia. Plus, the tall ones said to be in my size were hard to zip up. The men's boots were too big, and don't get me started on the work boots breaking the dress code. I found a pair of Doc Martens in men's 11, and wanted to ignore the fact that I have an 8 1/2 to 9 foot because they were $16.
I did find men's 8 1/2 shoes, that fit me and seemed waterproof. They were $24, and I got a new outfit. So, good for me.
