Feb. 2nd, 2005 09:22 pmHey, remember when we were arguing during the election whether a guy not exactly for gay marriage was better than a guy talking about pushing an amendment to ban gay marriage? There were certain folks arguing that having a loud stance against it was better than . . .whatever.
Now the guy talking about pushing etc. decided that Social Security 'reform' (which seems like using Grandma's grocery money to bet on horses to me, but I'm not a pundit) was much more important. The evanglicials (can I call them 'fundies' if some evanglicials don't actually like them?) sent him a sternly worded letter about that.
I am reminded of this because of a fandom wank thread comment that linked to the neo-cons of God Awful Fan Fiction (no really) chiding Kerry's lack of position on gay marriage, mocking half-literate fan outrage over Bush's promises, and screeching about the UN.
So, is breaking a promise you were hoping were never going to be fufilled better than not really promising anything because so many damn people disagree about it?
All of this rambling is to disguise that all I did tonight was check Atlas Game's website for credit. Sorting through the list of alumni to e-mail just seems exhausting and daunting. I also cannot seem to write fiction for hell or high water.
