taratemimaNo, I haven't used frienditto, because I have no real need to save my entries (ljbook is recommended for that) or anyone else's entries.
Plus, so far, my friends-only posts are really boring angst-fests if you don't count the pr0n. I do have one family member who I rather not have telling everyone about it, but she doesn't need frienditto for that exactly. However, if I really, really wanted no one to see my writings, I would use a notebook (the sort with paper). As far as others' friends-only posts, I treat them like private conversations: I don't talk about it with others, or if I am talking about a situation similar to yours, mention you by name.
However, it is not the only way to save friends-only posts. It does seem to make friends-only posts public, while the other stuff just copies the posts via someone who has access to it.
(And maybe I should start a petition to change 'friends list' to 'readers list.' Not everyone on that list would be your friend IRL)
Since hepkitten confirmed she was involved, but swears up and down LJ Drama is not involved (uh huh), I have one thing to say. I gotta wonder why. Yeah, some people are savvy enough to friends-lock, delete or freeze comments on posts that have become wanky, but there are enough stupid people and attention whores that you can get your daily dose of 'WTF' and not swipe specifically archived posts. Then again, the LJ Drama have often fomented drama rather than just report it. Some folks will archive deleted public posts, but argue about friends-lock posts, since it seems to be the method of some wannabe edgy commentators who cannot take the heat when someone disagrees with them (whoops, did I wank?)
So, this is a combination of not going for every Furby on the Internet and not panicking about said Furby recorded your intimate pillow talk with your best friend's lover. Oh, and don't befriend people who would sleep with your lover without telling you. If that makes sense.
I banned frienditto from my journal just in case, though.

Let's get angry about something that really matters: people scalping tickets for Coachella. They suck worse than Nicky Pacione's writing.
