It should be obvious: don't use steel wool on coated pans. However, I've been used to using it at home (despite obvious damage) because I knew no other way, and how are we going to get new pans anyway?

Now, the coated pan I used Brillo on is in the recycling. Even though they have other pans, I feel bad because I could have avoided it.
