taratemimaI really ought to stop listening to 80s music. It makes me miss people.
Also, if I am going to stay up late, I should be doing something useful, like reading articles for this project. Don't laugh, I am thinking of using this to bolster grad school applications. Along with classes, of course.
I-Con is having a Mad Science Fair. My project will be examining problems, solutions, and strategies for natural language time machine interface. I'm planning to use journal articles for this. For instance, looking at cheap flights websites coordinating travel time, handling complex data in a natural language interface, and debates over 'paradox' in time travel. That sort of stuff.
However, I am not good at making nifty gadgets. Being geeks, the judges will want nifty gadgets with their big words and footnotes. *sigh*
If that's not 'serious' enough for graduate school, I can always go back to my idea of proposing using neural nets to study language disorders, and if dyscalculia and dyslexia are connected. I don't know.
But yeah, for the next few months, I'll be concentrating on that. My sister sent two job listings. One of the places, however, rejected my application two times, and I don't know why. Plus, I need to follow up with someone about a customer service position. We'll see.
