As some of you who know me in real life know, some of my housemates are in the SCA (not all of them). I sometimes think of joining. It's really a mix of puerile and careerist. They have councils, and I want to have experience working on solving a problem with other people rather than writing something I think will solve a problem without others. Plus, you can dress up and make up a name and pretend you're from somewhere else. I'm sure Scadians get more out of it than that, but that is my point of interest.

Then again, being the 'I'm not sheep!' crank I am, I'd probably try to make medieval-style Beavis and Butthead monologues when bored at Council.
