taratemimaI went to the Sweet on Geeks event at Pandemonium and got a giant R2-D2 Pez dispenser in a raffle. For a few moments, I was envied. Once I fill it with Pez, I will have a conversation piece.
Meanwhile, I've been noticing I want some other stuff in my life. One of them is a car. I want to be able to hop in a car if I miss the bus or feel slow. I do not want to own a car. Parking near my apartment is wonky, and really, I just need the car for when I am running late, which is two or three times a week.
Yes, I know about Zipcar, and it seems like a fine service. I can even pick one up near any of the stations. One problem--they require that you have a driver's license. I only have a learner's permit.
My driving school offers rentals by the hour. However, I don't think 'student drivers' are allowed to use the cars to drive to work. None of my co-workers live near me, so I cannot carpool.
Maybe I can offer Pez?
Any other ideas?
