I don't know whether to be pissed or relieved

I just got fired over e-mail. After being put on probation on Wednesday, have the worst day of work Friday, I get fired while I am at a party. I just don't know. I got fired because I was so scared of being let go, I neglected my work while looking for a job. I somehow lost the ability to work indepedently. I wasn't sure what I was supposed to do and screwed up the simplest things sometimes. I make an effort to mend my ways, it ain't enough. I am not sure how I am going to explain this to the people who interview me for new jobs.
