Now I am coughing.

And feeling worn out thanks to being woken up at 1am, trying to get to sleep by looking at web pages (I know, stupid) and falling back to sleep.

They are at least offering overtime. I think I will do it next week, since I think taking time off for illness cuts into it.

I owe [livejournal.com profile] heron61 this.

See, I mentioned something about a possible link between sex differences and dyslexia to him. While I am too lazy to find journal articles on it (because, that would require going to my alma mater's library and getting an alumni card and stuff), I did find web references.

A paper on 100 years of research on dyslexia, which mentions some evidence of sex differences. Emphasis on some. http://www.dyslexia-inst.org.uk/articles/100_years.htm

An outline on aphasia, which seems to have no sex differences in recovery
http://home.epix.net/~tcannon1/neuropsychology/lecture2.htm

Another article on researchers into sex differences and dyslexia, with links
http://www.schwablearning.org/Articles.asp?r=35

Possible link between fatty acid deficiency and dyslexia http://www.physiol.ox.ac.uk/~ket/PLEFA_2000.pdf

I'll have to look up papers on the two researchers mentioned, and if other concur or have conflicting evidence.

Maybe it is too late to submit this as an Arisia panel, but I am kinda proud of the idea. It needs much work, though.
